Dutchess County Name Searches - New Policy

At this time we are not accepting Name Searches due to not having volunteer staff to carry them out. If you have already submitted a request and it has not been worked on, then your money is being refunded to you. The very low fee did not cover any research work done, but rather simply assisted with administrative costs of keeping the library, computer and copier going. We are sorry not to be able to continue this service, but it was very much dependant on volunteer staff.

At this time, no requests can be handled via the internet.

Further research is available from local specialists, listed below, for a fee. Please contact them directly. No endorsement, express or implied, is made by DCGS for those listed. The Association of Professional Genealogists maintains a Directory of Members which can be searched by geographic specialty. They also offer advice on hiring a professional genealogist.
